Sketchbook for March

Intermediate art

Sketchbook Assignment for February/March 2012

Every month you will be required to do sketchbook assignments. This gives you a chance to practice your art skills; the more you do something the better you become. This month you do not have a choice of assignments as it is practice for our current unit. Sketchbooks are worth 15% of your final mark! Please keep them up to date. You can complete this assignment during class time if you are finished early; if you do not finish early it is homework.

WHAT IT IS A CONTOUR DRAWING?
Contour means "outline" and is comprised of simple lines that represent the outside and inside edges of objects. Contour drawings do not use shading.
Project:
Choose an interesting object with many edges. Study your object closely. Start by drawing the outside edges of the object then fill in the inside edges. Use the entire page. Your drawing should take 45 minutes.
